Rachel was guitarist and singer in the
seminal 70/80’s band Dolly Mixture who were signed to Paul Wellers' ‘Respond’ label and championed by The Undertones & John Peel. She was the singer in the band ‘Spelt’ and has released her first solo album ‘Picture in Mind’ in 2021. Also half of the Light Music Company.

Love this album because it blends classic tones of rock, psychedellia and romance with wonderful lyrics. Songs are very well structured and as somebody may say "less is more".

Birdie is wonderful. I practically pray every night that 2021 (or 2022?) could have a series of shows in the UK and Europe where it's a Dolly Mixture reunion with Birdie as the delightful opening act. Also, it should be a publicly announced and well-promoted tour!! Please???
